For Pinky, life had become painfully predictable.

The dog spent his days chained outside his home, exposed to the elements and struggling with health problems that his owners didn’t have the resources to properly address.

His recovery began.

At his foster home, Pinky could finally focus on getting healthy and adjusting to a life where he wasn’t simply left outside. Instead of being defined by neglect, he could begin discovering what it felt like to be cared for.

And perhaps the most beautiful part of his story is that someone saw potential in him before Pinky had the chance to show it.

The rescuer didn’t know exactly how his recovery would unfold. They simply knew that leaving him in the same situation wasn’t an option.

Every rescue has a starting point.

Sometimes it’s a dramatic intervention involving an entire team of people. Other times, it begins with one person noticing an animal in need and deciding to care.

For Pinky, it was the latter.
