At just eight weeks old, a puppy has plenty of important things to learn.
How to play.
How to nap.
How to follow the humans around the house.
And, apparently, how to defeat a doggy door.
A group of adorable Golden Retriever puppies recently discovered that the little flap leading through a doggy door wasn’t quite as simple as it looked.
Each puppy had its own approach, and watching them figure it out is every bit as entertaining as you’d expect.
The puppies may have been facing the exact same obstacle, but they certainly didn’t agree on how to solve it.

The Doggy Door Challenge Begins
The adorable group was filmed making their way through the same doggy door, one puppy at a time.
The first pup seemed to have the whole thing figured out.
With hardly any hesitation, the little Golden Retriever confidently made its way through the opening.
Problem solved.
But then came the next puppy.
This one didn’t have quite as smooth an experience.
Instead of casually strolling through like its sibling, the pup encountered a little trouble along the way. And things became even more complicated when another puppy decided to occupy the entrance.
Because apparently, the perfect time to sit in a doorway is when everyone else is trying to get through it.
Every Puppy Had a Plan
The funniest part was that none of the puppies seemed to approach the challenge in quite the same way.
One carefully squeezed through.
Another struggled with the opening.
Another found itself blocked by a sibling.
And then there was the puppy who seemed to decide that the best solution was simply to lie down in front of the door.
Why struggle with a doorway when you can take a break instead?
At only eight weeks old, these puppies were still figuring out how the world worked.
The doggy door may have seemed like a serious obstacle, but their different reactions made the whole experience irresistibly funny.
And judging by the attention the video received, plenty of people agreed.
Puppy Logic Is in a Class of Its Own
There is something uniquely entertaining about watching puppies encounter everyday objects for the first time.
A door isn’t simply a door.
It’s a puzzle.
A blanket can become a wrestling opponent.
A cardboard box can become a hiding place.
And a doggy door?
Apparently, it’s a full-scale engineering challenge.
But underneath all the comedy was something even sweeter: these puppies were learning by watching, trying, stumbling, and trying again.
Eventually, they would all figure out that the mysterious flap wasn’t nearly as intimidating as it first appeared.
Until then, though, their individual approaches made for an unforgettable puppy parade.
The video left viewers completely charmed, with people joking about wanting another puppy and marveling at just how adorable the little Golden Retrievers were.
And honestly, who could blame them?
Watching a group of fluffy puppies conquer a tiny doorway might not sound like a major event.
But when every puppy brings its own personality to the challenge, even something as ordinary as walking through a door becomes a show.
For these little Golden Retrievers, the lesson was simple:
Sometimes you walk through the door.
Sometimes you wrestle with it.
And sometimes, you just lie down and let your siblings figure it out.
