Sometimes, the dogs who need us most aren’t the ones making the biggest fuss.

They’re the quiet ones.

The older ones.

The ones waiting patiently while people walk past their kennels looking for a younger face.

And then there’s Mr. Noodle.

This sweet 9-year-old Miniature Poodle mix is waiting in foster care for one simple thing:

A forever home.

Mr. Noodle weighs about 13.4 pounds and is described as an affectionate senior who is ready to meet the person who will make him part of the family.

And there’s something about a senior dog that deserves a second look.

They’re not puppies anymore.

They don’t need someone to teach them that the world revolves around them.

They’ve already learned the important stuff.

How good a soft bed feels.

How wonderful a gentle hand can be.

How much a quiet afternoon beside someone can mean.

Mr. Noodle is currently thriving with a foster family, where potential adopters can learn more about his personality and what makes him special.

Now he’s waiting for the next chapter.

The Lompoc Animal Center is searching for his permanent family.

And the good news?

His adoption package includes neutering, microchipping, vaccinations, flea treatment, and a health and wellness exam.

But what Mr. Noodle really needs can’t be put into an adoption package.

He needs someone to look at a 9-year-old dog and think:

“He’s the one.”

Because being a senior doesn’t mean a dog has stopped having love to give.

Sometimes it means there’s even more love waiting to be shared.

Mr. Noodle has made it this far.

Now he just needs someone willing to take him the rest of the way home.

And maybe…

just maybe…

that someone could be you.
