Hold onto your hearts, because what happened in Joelton, Tennessee, last Wednesday, July 9th, is the stuff of both nightmares and miracles.

Over 100 dogs — 113 to be exact — were rescued from a horrific “puppy mill” operation, where conditions were so deplorable, the floor was reportedly covered in nearly a foot of urine and feces in every single room.

The Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office, assisting Animal Control, uncovered this suspected animal cruelty case, and what they found was truly sickening.

According to Michael Cunningham of the Animal Rescue Corps (ARC), who swiftly named this critical mission “Operation Breaking Point,” these poor animals were living in unimaginable squalor.

The rescued dogs, a heartbreaking mix of Maltese, Havanese, Yorkies, and other “designer” breeds, suffered from untreated infections, parasites, dehydration, matting, and even parvo exposure.

Vulnerable newborn puppies were also found amidst the chaos.

Those in critical condition were rushed to emergency vets, while the rest were transported to ARC’s Rescue Center for much-needed care.

“These dogs have spent their lives being bred, bought, sold and treated like nothing more than commodities,” ARC stated, emphasizing that each one of them deserves love and a bright future.

The team meticulously documented the cruelty for future prosecution, ensuring that justice is served.

In a follow-up, ARC shared the heartwarming news that all 113 dogs are now getting “well-deserved sleep on clean, cozy beds,” with two mothers even giving birth to new pups in safety!

This powerful rescue is a stark reminder of the dark side of the puppy mill industry and a triumphant victory for compassion.
