It began as a trip to New Orleans for the Eras Tour, but for Brooke Morosca, it turned into an unexpected rescue mission that would change lives forever.

While staying at an Airbnb, she encountered a shy yellow Labrador covered in dirt.

Soon after, a black Lab appeared, and for four days, these two stray dogs became her constant shadows, staying near her porch or under abandoned houses.

Despite efforts to find their owners, they remained elusive.

Brooke learned from a local shelter, JPAWS, that the dogs had a history of wandering. Heartbroken but determined, she returned to Florida, staying in touch with the shelter.

Eventually, she adopted the black Lab, now named Rhysand.

Her relief was short-lived, however, when she discovered the yellow Lab had been returned to its original owner, raising concerns for its welfare.

Months later, a strong intuition led Brooke to check the shelter’s website, and there it was: the yellow Lab was listed for adoption!

With incredible support from her mom and even strangers on TikTok contributing donations, Brooke immediately drove back to Louisiana.

The emotional reunion was seven months in the making, as the yellow Lab, now named Crumpet, finally joined her friend Rhysand in a loving home.

Their story is a powerful testament to the enduring bond between humans and animals, and a hopeful reminder that with persistence and compassion, every deserving pup can find their way home.

Brooke hopes their journey inspires others to adopt or volunteer, perhaps even leading to a DNA test to confirm if these inseparable companions are indeed siblings!
