When you think of Chris Evans, you might picture Captain America, but for many, his most endearing role is “dog dad” to his beloved mixed-breed pup, Dodger!
While National Mutt Day rolls around twice a year, in the Evans household, every day is a celebration of Dodger, and Chris recently shared insights into his bond with his furry best friend and his partnership with the dog food brand, Jinx.
Dodger, a charming mix of Labrador, boxer, pit bull terrier, and surprisingly, a dash of Pomeranian, was adopted by Chris in 2015 from a shelter in Savannah, Georgia, during a film shoot.
Despite being nearly ten years old, Dodger still embodies that playful, puppy-like energy that melts hearts.
Chris’s collaboration with Jinx wasn’t just another endorsement; he emphasized that it “made sense” given his genuine love for dogs and Jinx’s positive mission, founded by fellow dog owners.
A standout initiative of this partnership is Jinx’s commitment to donating 5% of Walmart purchases through August to United Services Organizations (USO) programs, including their Canine Program.
This highlights a shared dedication to giving back to those who serve.
And what about Dodger’s take on the partnership?
Apparently, he’s an enthusiastic taste tester, with Jinx jerky being his absolute favorite!
As for celebrating National Mutt Day, Chris plans to make it extra special for Dodger with a long hike in the woods – Dodger’s ultimate favorite activity – and perhaps even a trip to the dog park.
