What started as a simple trip to PetSmart for cat litter turned into a life-changing rescue mission for Felicia Wells.
And now, her heartwarming story has gone viral!
Back in June 2024, despite the Saturday afternoon hustle, Felicia decided to brave the crowds.
Little did she know, destiny was waiting in the parking lot in the form of an adoption event.
Her resolve was firm: if there was a shepherd mix, it was coming home with her.
And that’s exactly what happened.
She met Kratos, a beautiful Belgian Malinois and Dutch shepherd mix, who had endured a harsh past, found “skin and bones” digging through garbage.
For ten long months, he had waited for a loving home.
Felicia had her reservations, even sending a video to her mom expecting to be talked out of it, but fate intervened with an encouraging “it was fate” from her mom.
Bringing Kratos home was a challenge; he was “completely shut down” and nervous.
His first night was sleepless for both of them, but a moment of instinct led Felicia to put him in her bed.
There, trembling but appreciative, Kratos cuddled close.
From that moment on, Kratos began to blossom, discovering the joy of treats, toys, and even macaroni and cheese!
Now, a year later, he’s a confident, loving dog who enjoys snoozing with his cat siblings and being utterly spoiled.
Felicia’s viral TikTok, which beautifully captures Kratos’s journey, has not only celebrated his transformation but also shone a much-needed light on the incredible work of KC Pet Rescue, the volunteer organization that saved him and held onto him until his forever family found him.
