Without hesitation, she stopped her vehicle in the leftmost lane and bravely crossed all three lanes to reach the frightened animal in the rightmost lane. This courageous act brought the freeway to a standstill, yet, in an extraordinary display of patience and empathy, fellow drivers waited calmly, refraining from honking or showing any signs of impatience.
Nicole’s selfless deed didn’t go unnoticed. Witnesses from College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving Fresno captured the rescue on video, highlighting the collective goodwill of the community.
FOX26 News later identified Nicole as the Good Samaritan, revealing that this wasn’t her first time rescuing animals—she does so several times a year.
The rescued dog, found covered in foxtails with a collar embedded in its neck, is now under the care of the Fresno Humane Society.
