Nyla had spent more than five years at Hamilton Township Animal Shelter & Adoption Center, watching life happen from behind shelter doors.

Then a volunteer from Height of Hope Senior Dog Rescue learned about her.

The organization focuses on senior dogs, particularly those who have spent extended periods in shelters or whose previous families could no longer care for them.

Nyla’s story caught their attention.
