Some dogs are happy just being near you.

Others want to play, explore, and turn an ordinary afternoon into an adventure.

Scrappy Doo is the kind of dog who can bring plenty of energy and fun into a home. But this lovable shelter resident still needs one important thing: a family to call his own.

And he may be exactly the companion someone has been looking for.

Meet Scrappy Doo

Scrappy Doo is a 4-year-old, tan-and-white American Bulldog mix weighing approximately 67 pounds. He’s currently available for adoption through the Lompoc Animal Center in California.

According to Companion Animal Placement Assistance (CAPA), Scrappy Doo is a happy, house-trained dog with a wonderful demeanor and plenty of playful energy.

One of his favorite activities? Playing fetch!

For someone who enjoys spending time outdoors, tossing a ball around, or simply having an enthusiastic companion nearby, Scrappy Doo could be a wonderful match.

And the fact that he’s already house-trained is another appealing quality for a potential adopter.

Of course, every dog needs time to settle into a new environment. But with patience, consistency, and plenty of positive attention, Scrappy Doo could begin building a wonderful life with his future family.

Could You Be His Person?

At four years old, Scrappy Doo still has plenty of life to enjoy.

He deserves a home where his playful personality is welcomed, his needs are understood, and he has opportunities to enjoy the activities he loves.

He’s available for adoption or fostering through the Lompoc Animal Center, giving interested families an opportunity to learn more about him.

Adoption fees include neutering, microchipping, vaccinations, flea treatment, and a health and wellness examination.
