Porkchop may be a rescue dog with a loving home, but apparently, he has one very important rule he simply refuses to follow:
Leave the turkeys alone.
The American Bully lives on a farm surrounded by all kinds of animals, including a flock of turkeys. And while his mom has tried repeatedly to redirect his attention, Porkchop just can’t seem to resist checking in on the birds.
Again.
And again.
And again.
The turkeys, meanwhile, don’t seem particularly impressed by their persistent admirer. They remain nearby as Porkchop tries to get closer, almost as if they know they’re completely off-limits—and secretly enjoy watching him try.
Eventually, Porkchop’s repeated attempts to bother the birds led to a consequence he probably didn’t expect.
Stroller jail.
After one too many warnings, his mom decided that the determined dog needed a timeout. Rather than simply scolding him, she placed Porkchop in a stroller, creating what may be one of the funniest forms of doggy detention imaginable.
And Porkchop does not exactly look thrilled about his sentence.
His expression practically screams, “How did I get here?”
His mom summed up the situation perfectly with a caption about the consequences of his actions.
And judging by Porkchop’s history, this probably wasn’t the first time he had been caught trying to investigate the turkeys—and it probably won’t be the last.
While the whole situation is hilarious, Porkchop’s behavior isn’t particularly unusual for dogs. Many dogs have an instinctive desire to chase or investigate other animals.
Some dogs have especially strong prey drives, meaning the sight or movement of another animal can immediately capture their attention.
A bird fluttering across the yard, a squirrel racing up a tree, or a cat darting across the street can suddenly become the most exciting thing in the world.
For Porkchop, apparently, the farm’s turkeys are his irresistible distraction.
The challenge is that chasing other animals can become dangerous. A dog may run into traffic, become difficult to control, or accidentally injure another animal.
That’s why teaching dogs to redirect their attention and respond reliably to commands is so important.
But on this particular day, Porkchop’s mom appears to have decided that the quickest solution was simply to remove her determined turkey chaser from the scene.
Enter stroller jail.
The funniest part may be that the turkeys don’t seem bothered at all.
They continue going about their business while Porkchop serves his sentence, seemingly unable to understand why his exciting farm adventure has suddenly been interrupted.
For dog lovers, it’s an entertaining reminder that even the most lovable rescue dogs can have some very strong opinions.
Porkchop has a home, a family, plenty of animals around him, and apparently an ongoing mission to become best friends—or perhaps worst enemies—with the resident turkeys.
His mom may have to keep redirecting him, but there’s something undeniably funny about a dog getting caught repeatedly breaking the same rule.
Hopefully, Porkchop eventually learns to admire the turkeys from a respectful distance.
Although, judging by his determination, his mom may want to keep that stroller nearby.
