Country music stars are used to having fans follow their every move. But sometimes, the biggest star in the room has four legs, a wagging tail, and absolutely no interest in sharing the spotlight.
Just ask Riley Green.
The country singer has a loyal companion named Carl, and this adorable farm dog has been winning hearts everywhere he goes.
From social media to public appearances and even network television, Carl is quickly becoming a celebrity in his own right.
And the funniest part? He seems perfectly happy just being a dog.
Carl recently made his network television debut on The Voice, introducing himself to an even bigger audience.
But he was already well-known among dog lovers and country music fans, with nearly 150,000 followers on Instagram.
His popularity even led to a special meet-and-greet appearance at CMA Fest, where fans lined up for the chance to spend time with him.
Not bad for a dog whose idea of a perfect day probably involves a comfortable spot on the farm and a few extra belly rubs.

A Little Dog With a Big Personality
Carl has an unmistakable look. He has short legs, perky ears, and a distinctive merle coat that makes people curious about his breed.
According to Green, Carl is a Cowboy Corgi, a mix of a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and an Australian Cattle Dog, also known as a Blue Heeler.
The combination gives him the compact build of a Corgi along with traits associated with Australia’s hardworking herding dogs.
But Carl’s personality is what really makes him stand out.
When the Country Living team visited Green’s Alabama farm for a magazine photo shoot, cameras were focused on the country star. Carl, meanwhile, seemed much more interested in enjoying himself around the property.
He wandered around comfortably and happily accepted attention. Rather than acting like a celebrity, he behaved like what he is: a beloved dog who knows how to enjoy the moment.
And that easygoing charm is a big part of his appeal.
From Farm Life to Life on the Road
Being Riley Green’s dog comes with some unusual perks.
Carl has traveled aboard tour buses and even private jets, accompanying his human on adventures most dogs never experience.
But despite all the excitement, Green says Carl is happiest back home in Alabama.
There, he can enjoy familiar surroundings and the slower rhythm of farm life, away from crowded venues and television cameras.
It’s a reminder that even when a dog gets to experience extraordinary things, the simple comforts of home can still mean the most.
Carl also has a family of his own. He shares his life with his girlfriend, Carol Ann, and earlier this year, the pair welcomed two puppies named Coosa and Cotton.
With his growing canine family, travel adventures, and ever-expanding fan base, Carl certainly has plenty happening in his world.
Still, his priorities seem wonderfully uncomplicated.

Fame Hasn’t Changed This Good Boy
Carl’s television debut might bring him even more attention, but there’s little reason to think the spotlight has changed what he loves most.
He remains Green’s faithful companion, equally comfortable traveling across the country or relaxing on the Alabama farm.
And that’s what makes him so endearing.
Carl doesn’t need to perform for the cameras or try to impress anyone. His distinctive appearance, playful personality, and obvious love of attention have already done the work.
For fans, he’s a delightful glimpse into Green’s life away from the stage. For Green, he’s a cherished companion who makes every adventure a little more special.
Sometimes, the best kind of celebrity is the one who doesn’t know he’s famous.
Carl may be riding in private jets and appearing on national television, but deep down, he’s still just a country dog who wants to be near his people.
And if a few belly rubs are part of the deal?
Well, that’s just a bonus.
