There was plenty of excitement happening inside the puppy crate.
But Fluff had absolutely no idea.
The adorable deaf foster puppy was enjoying what appeared to be a very serious nap while all of her littermates bounced, wandered around and went about their puppy business.
Nothing seemed capable of disturbing her peaceful sleep.
Not even the chaos happening just inches away.
Then one of her furry siblings decided it was time for Fluff to wake up.
And the resulting moment was almost too sweet.
Deep Sleep, Zero FOMO
Fluff is a deaf foster puppy being cared for by a foster family, and according to her foster parent, this kind of deep sleep isn’t unusual for her.
In fact, it’s a daily occurrence.
And it doesn’t happen just once.
Fluff reportedly sleeps so soundly that she is usually the last puppy to wake up. While her littermates are already awake and ready for whatever adventure comes next, Fluff is perfectly content staying curled up in dreamland.
That’s exactly what happened in a recent video.
The clip begins with several little foster puppies inside their crate. While the other puppies are awake and moving around excitedly, Fluff is completely passed out.
The words over the video playfully announce the mission: It’s time to wake up the deaf foster puppy.
Mom Tries First
Fluff’s foster parent approaches the sleeping puppy and attempts to wake her.
But because Fluff is deaf, simply calling her name obviously isn’t going to work.
Still, her foster parent tries to get her attention.
Fluff remains completely committed to her nap.
The other puppies, meanwhile, continue moving around the crate as though nothing unusual is happening.
Then, unexpectedly, one of Fluff’s littermates takes over.
The little puppy gets close enough to wake the sleeping Fluff, and suddenly the peaceful nap comes to an end.
Fluff finally wakes up.
And just like that, the puppy who had been completely oblivious to the excitement around her is back with the rest of the gang.
Viewers Couldn’t Handle the Cuteness
The sweet moment quickly captured the hearts of viewers, with thousands of people showing their love for the sleepy foster puppy.
More than 2,000 likes poured in, and the comments were filled with people completely enchanted by Fluff.
One admirer simply wrote, “Ohhhhh, sweet girl.”
Another couldn’t contain their excitement, saying they loved her so much.
It’s easy to understand why.
There’s something irresistibly adorable about watching a puppy sleep peacefully, especially when absolutely everyone else seems to be awake.
But Fluff’s story also offers a gentle reminder that deaf dogs experience the world differently.
They may rely more heavily on visual cues, touch and vibrations to understand what’s happening around them.
With patience and thoughtful care, deaf dogs can still enjoy full, happy lives and form wonderful bonds with the people and animals around them.
A Puppy Who Sleeps on Her Own Schedule
For Fluff, being deaf hasn’t stopped her from enjoying one of life’s greatest pleasures: a really good nap.
Her littermates may be ready to play.
Her foster parent may be ready to wake her.
But Fluff apparently has her own schedule.
And when she finally does wake up, there’s a whole litter of puppy friends waiting for her.
Perhaps that’s the sweetest part of all.
Fluff may sleep through the excitement, but she never has to wake up alone.
Sometimes, all a sleepy puppy needs is a loving foster home, a few playful siblings and one determined little friend who knows exactly when it’s time to get the party started.
