Most shelter dogs dream of finding a family.
A warm bed.
A place to belong.
Someone to love them forever.
One shelter dog named King is still waiting for that dream to come true.
But before finding a home of his own, he did something extraordinary for another dog in desperate need.
King recently became an unlikely hero when a critically ill Cocker Spaniel named Ricky arrived at a veterinary clinic fighting for his life. Ricky was severely anemic and urgently needed a blood transfusion. Without it, his chances of recovery were slim.
That’s when King stepped in.
