There’s excited.

And then there’s Kevin.
Or at least… that’s how he’s supposed to be.
Like most Golden Retrievers, Kevin is usually the kind of dog who greets his family with endless tail wags, happy dances, and enough enthusiasm to make every homecoming feel like a reunion after years apart.
But this time?
Things were different.
After his mom returned from a vacation, Kevin decided he wasn’t ready to celebrate just yet.
Instead of showering her with kisses, he delivered something far more dramatic.
The cold shoulder.

Of course, experts say dogs probably aren’t holding grudges in the same way people do.
What often looks like a deliberate snub can actually be a response to disrupted routines, separation, or the stress of their favorite person being away. Dogs thrive on consistency, and even a short trip can leave them feeling confused until everything feels normal again.
That doesn’t make Kevin’s reaction any less entertaining.

If dogs handed out Academy Awards, Kevin would have taken home Best Performance in a Silent Role.
And judging by his expression, he’d probably accept the trophy… once he decided his mom had earned his forgiveness.
