Some dogs are gentle.

In this case, a Bernese Mountain Dog named Weller from @thebernerbunch decided that looking after a tiny guest cat meant one thing above all else: she should never, under any circumstances, be exposed to danger — or even visible.
The cat, Ophelia, was a temporary visitor in the home, brought in as a surprise for a child who had been hoping for a pet of her own.
And Weller immediately accepted what he clearly believed was an important assignment: protect the small, fragile newcomer until she was safely on her way to her forever home.
So he did what any overcommitted guardian would do.
He hid her.
When the video begins, Weller is calmly resting on a sofa, looking like the picture of innocence. Head down. Relaxed posture.
Nothing unusual at all.
Except there is.
Because tucked beneath him — almost completely out of sight — is Ophelia.
At first glance, she’s invisible. That’s the point.
Weller has positioned himself in a way that effectively turns his own body into a living shelter.
If you didn’t know she was there, you wouldn’t notice anything unusual.
And even when his owner starts looking closer, he stays still, committed to the role of “nothing to see here.”
